Matt Szwedzicki (B Eng, B Comm, GAICD) – Managing Director

Matt has senior leadership experience with a focus on corporate growth and investment strategy in the oil and gas industry. Matt has led UK and European focused explorer Elixir Petroleum as well as having worked for leading E&P companies including Woodside & BHP Billiton. Matt has extensive commercial experience in the energy industry including proactively managing Origin’s multi billion dollar investment across several upstream joint ventures.

With an entrepreneurial approach and a passion for value enhancement, Matt  has led various early stage high growth ventures involving the commercialisation of innovative projects.

James Jordan  (B Sc, M Sc) – Director New Ventures & Strategic Partnerships

James is an Exploration Manager and practical exploration geophysicist with over 25 years experience in the global oil and gas exploration sector. He has a successful operational track record developed in the UK, Norway, Australia, Africa and SE Asia. He has worked within leading exploration companies Enterprise Oil, Shell International, Paladin Resources, Faroe Petroleum, Woodside Energy and Ophir Energy. During his career he has been instrumental in several significant oil & gas discoveries.

James started his career at Enterprise Oil and subsequently became Atlantic Margin Exploration Manager in 2007 for Faroe Petroleum, responsible for a large exploration portfolio in the West of Shetlands and several significant oil and gas discoveries.

In 2010 James joined Woodside Energy, leading the technical team responsible for the early entry into Myanmar and the subsequent gas discoveries in the Rakhine Basin. James also worked as East Africa Exploration Manager for Ophir Energy, responsible for frontier deep water operated activities.

James is currently a Director and co-founder of Jordan & Pay Exploration Consultants, providing innovative exploration support and advice to clients worldwide.

Mark Pay (B Sc, M Sc, PhD) – Director Technical 

Mark is an exploration geoscientist with over 22 years experience working for multi-national and independent E&P operators including Enterprise Oil, Shell, Faroe Petroleum, Woodside and Ophir Energy. He has held several senior management roles with extensive exploration experience across four continents, including many years working the UK Continental Shelf. Mark has a proven ability to create, evaluate and prepare exploration prospectivity for drilling, and has been involved in several material discoveries. As Exploration Manager, he has also overseen the planning and successful execution of operated drilling campaigns without incident and within pre-drill budgets. Mark is the Director and co-founder of Jordan & Pay Exploration Consultants, providing innovative exploration support and advice to clients worldwide.

Mark graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc (1st Class) in Geology in 1994, holds an MSc in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College, London and a PhD on the petroleum geology of the Clair Field, West of Shetland.

Susan Jones (B Law) – Director Legal & Commercial

Susan is an Australian and New York qualified lawyer with 20 years experience. Her early career was spent in a top tier Australian law firm and New York law firm where she was exposed to international IPOs, amongst other things. She has spent the majority of her legal career in oil and gas companies (Woodside, BHPB and Total), culminating in senior roles.  More recently she has diversified into asset management and commercial roles. She brings significant transactional and operational experience to address and manage a broad spectrum of operational and corporate issues.

Cameron Manifold (B Eng) – Director Operations & HSE

Cameron is a highly experienced oil and gas professional with over 30 years global industry involvement. Through his extensive engineering career, Cameron has been involved in a wide range of energy projects encompassing onshore conventional, unconventional gas/oil projects to offshore shallow water, subsea and deepwater exploration, appraisal and development. These projects have been undertaken in Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Cameron has been involved with the conceptual design, detailed design and successful execution of a number of innovative offshore field developments with major oil and gas companies including Ampolex, Woodside, ROC Oil, Chevron and BHP Petroleum. He established and ran AWT International, a regionally focused engineering consultancy. In recent years, Cameron has provided support to industry body (SPE and OGP) committees developing Life-of-asset Well Integrity Management Systems.

Jim MairAdvisor to the Board

Jim has extensive M&A, commercial and business development experience from a 31 year career with Shell International. Since leaving Shell he has provided consultancy services to a number of oil and gas companies and also spent some time working for Dana Petroleum as director of commercial and new business.

During his Shell career he was involved in leading major acquisition, divestment and asset swap projects in countries including the UK, USA, Canada, Russia and Australia as well as the project financing of major upstream and downstream projects in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia
